The 2011
RI charter season began with cod fishing at Coxes
Ledge in April with the striped bass and
bluefish arriving in
May at Block Island.
The "MAVERICK" is a twin screw diesel-powered
offshore boat with complete electronics, Coast Guard inspected
and insured with approved safety gear, full tower, generator, microwave, stove and
electric head. We are fully equipped with conventional, light tackle and fly fishing rods for inshore.
For offshore big game we provide standup 50's, bent butt 80's
and 130's.

IGFA certified Capt. Jack early with
your requests in order to reserve the best
dates for the particular saltwater fish you would like
to target. Multi-boat trips are

The Maverick offers full and half day trips for
cod striped bass, bluefish, albacore, bonito and school tuna from
April through November. We also offer
charters for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Shark from June until the seasonal fishing quota is met. You will sail out of
Snug Harbor to fish with light tackle on the fabled rips of
Block Island as well as offshore sportfishing hotspots
like The Dump, Fingers and Gully. Many custom charters combine watching porpoise and whales as they feed in the same areas we sport fish.

What To Bring On Your Fishing Charter
- Cooler for your catch (we will clean and provide ice and bags)
- Sunscreen (we have spf 15 and 30 on board)
- Camera (a must)
- Sunglasses (polarized and uv resistant if possible)
- Hat
- Lunch (we have sandwiches available but most anglers bring their own favorites)
- Snacks
- Beverages - beer is ok, no hard liquor please (we have water and soda on board)
- No black-soled shoes
- Rain gear or sweatshirt depending on the weather forecast. It is usually cooler offshore than on the mainland.
- Any prescription medication that you would normally take during the day.
